Maybe an Addiction

Written by Sniyah G. and Kirsten J.
An addiction to your phone may be more than you realize it is at the moment. Let's take a moment to talk about it.

Would you consider using your phone to be an addiction? To answer the question I think it all depends on how long you think you can go without it. If you constantly have to be on your phone throughout the day then it’s more likely that you have an addiction. When you obtain an addiction to something your life starts to depend on it more and more. So if you are someone who has or is becoming addicted to your phone I would think about exploring other things that may interest you.
Most people become addicted to their phones because of social media which isn’t always the best for our mental health. I believe we all need a break from the social world at some point. The more you become seduced by social platforms/ your phone the less you can be connected to the real world. Exploring other interests outside of a phone will make you less likely to become disconnected from the real world and maybe gain a likely prospect for something new. So even if you don’t have an addiction, be sure to not get influenced and gain one.
